What to Expect:

As a custom photographer, my aim is to create a relaxed environment for you and your family to be yourselves.

I want you to look at your photos and remember how much fun you all had during your session with me.  I want to capture that moment when your precious little one looks up at you in between tickles like you're their whole world.  Or when Daddy throws his little princess up in the air between those amazingly contagious belly laughs!  Pretend like I'm not there and be yourselves... it's these moments that I want to capture for you.

The best smiles are the natural ones that come from genuine, playful moments... not forced smiles!

Enough time is allocated for each session so there is no rush and no stress.  I encourage you to take breaks whenever needed, especially for young children.  Sessions generally last between one and two hours (longer for newborns).

Booking A Session:

To book a session, please use the form in the "Contact" section of this site.  I will then contact you to arrange further details and confirm your booking.

For newborn sessions, it is best (but not necessary) to arrange your session before your baby is born.  As your little bundle is unlikely to arrive when he/she is due, we can have all details bar a date arranged prior to you baby arriving.  Once baby is born, contact me and we will schedule your session as soon as possible (newborn sessions are a priority).

Session fees are required on or before the session.  I accept cash, cheque and direct deposit.

Session Times:

Sessions are held in the mornings and late afternoons, as this is when the natural light is most flattering.  Where children/babies are being photographed, morning sessions are preferable (around 8 to 9am).  This is simply because young ones are generally happier in the mornings and tend to get a little tired and restless by the afternoon.  I prefer weekends, but weekday sessions can be arranged with enough notice.

What to Wear:

Comfort is the key!  Wear whatever you feel comfortable in.  If you have a favourite pair of jeans or a dress you just love and always feel amazing in, then that's what you should wear!  If you are not comfortable with your outfit, it will show in the photos.  Your clothes should be a reflection of you and your personality.

Don't be distracted by brand new itchy clothes, a tight collar, or a nagging feeling that you might pop out of your shirt!  You don't need to get dressed up to the nines (unless you want to of course!).  And there is no need to be matching right down to your shoes and socks - however similar colour tones/fabrics can look great.  Try to avoid large written logos as these can be distracting in your photos (we don't want to take the focus of your beautiful face!).

If you can't decide what to wear, bring a few outfit changes and we can try some different looks!  Don't forget that simplicity goes a long way.  And most importantly, don't be limited by your  clothes - the last thing you want is to be disappointed because your short skirt didn't allow you to get down on the ground and play with your children.

For the little ones, remember if they are not comfortable in what they are wearing, they are likely to be cranky and fussy.  If your little girl loves to wear her tutu and fairy wings then she will probably love having her photo taken while she's all dressed up!  Happy kids equal lots of smiles!

What to Bring:

Number one on the list is a happy, well rested, unstressed family full of smiles!!  We all know that's not always possible, so anything that might help to keep those smiles is recommended.  This includes snacks, favourite toys, costumes and even lollipops! It's also wise to bring a change of clothes (just in case someone decides to jump in a mud puddle or spill their snack down the front of their shirt).  If you have a great prop you'd like to use, feel free to bring it along and we'll see what we come up with.

Location:

The location of your session is up to you... it could be a favourite park, beach, or at your home.  Please keep in mind that there needs to be lots of natural light available.  A travel fee will be charged for locations outside the Puckapunyal/Seymour area.

After the Session:

Within a few days of your session, I will post a sneak peek (usually four of five photos from your session) on the blog.   After I have custom edited each individual photograph (this can take up to two weeks) your photos will be ready to view on the website in a private, password protected gallery.  You will be sent an email with a login and password to access the Client Viewing section of the website, where you will be able to view 25 to 30 photos from your session.  This gallery will be available for seven days.  If you require it after the seven days, there will be a $45 re-hosting fee.

Please feel free to share your login details with family and friends so they may also view and/or order the photographs.

If you would like re-prints or to place another order in the future, I will keep all photos from your gallery on file for five years.

Ordering Your Prints & Products:

After viewing your photographs in your private online gallery, orders can be placed using the order form provided at your session.  Orders will not be processed until full payment is received.  Please allow two to four weeks after payment is received for your orders to arrive.
